Every Storm Runs Out of Rain

Don’t let temporary pain become your permanent story.

You won’t feel like this forever—don’t let the storm trick you into thinking it’s permanent.

Let’s talk about it.
Because some of y’all are standing in the middle of your storm right now, and you swear it will last forever.

You’ve convinced yourself that this season is permanent.
That the rain will never stop.
That the heaviness is your new normal.

But let me remind you of something simple and true:
Every storm runs out of rain.

The Storm Feels Personal—But It’s Not Punishment

When life is falling apart, it feels personal.
Like the universe is targeting you.
Like you’re being punished for something you didn’t even know you did wrong.

But storms aren’t punishments.
Storms are part of the cycle.
Storms clear what needed to go, even when you don’t want to let it go.
They shake things loose.
They break things down so something new can grow.

🔥 The Tea: You’re not in a storm because you’re unworthy. You’re in a storm because something had to shift—and you wouldn’t move until it started raining.

You weren’t listening to the whispers, so life sent thunder.
You weren’t paying attention to the cracks, so life split it wide open.

And it hurts, I know.
But this storm isn’t punishment—it’s movement.
It’s mercy, disguised as mess.

Because sometimes the breakdown is the only thing loud enough to get your attention.

You Can’t Heal While It’s Pouring—But You Can Hold On

The worst thing about storms is the way they distort everything.
You can’t see clearly.
You can’t feel anything except wet and cold and tired.
You forget what sunshine feels like.
You forget who you were before the clouds rolled in.

But listen to me:
The storm is not your home. It’s just where you’re passing through.

And even if you can’t fix everything right now—
Even if you can’t stop the thunder—
You can hold on.
You can remind yourself:
This is temporary.
This is survivable.
This will pass.

Stop Unpacking in Temporary Seasons

Some of you are unpacking in places you were only meant to pass through.
You’ve set up camp in sadness.
You’ve built a home in heartbreak.
You’ve decided this storm is your final destination.

🔥 The Tea: Don’t build a life around what you were only supposed to learn from.

Don’t let grief become your identity.
Don’t let survival become your comfort zone.
You were meant to pass through this, not pitch a tent and stay.
You were meant to learn the lesson, not become it.
Every heartbreak, every hard season, every loss—it shaped you, yes. But it doesn’t define you.

The storm is not the story.
It’s just the middle.
The mess before the breakthrough.

Take the lesson. Leave the baggage. Keep walking.

The Sun Always Comes Back—But You Have to Be Ready For It

The worst part of storms isn’t the rain.
It’s the way they make you forget the sun ever existed.
The way you start to believe that the downpour is your personality now.
That the weight will never lift.

But baby, it will.
And when it does—you need to be ready to receive it.
To stop bracing for the next hit.
To let the light touch you again without flinching.

🔥 The Tea: The storm will pass. That’s a given.
But will you let yourself dry off when it does?

Or will you stay soaked in survival mode?
Still bracing for thunder long after the sky clears?
Still living like the worst is always around the corner, because that’s the only way you know how to feel safe?

The storm may be over—but if your mindset’s still stuck in the rain, you’ll miss your own breakthrough.

Don’t just survive the storm—let yourself come back to life after it.

🌧️ Your Reminder For Today:

Whatever you’re facing right now?
It’s not forever.
The rain will stop.
The clouds will clear.
And you will be standing—maybe a little wet, maybe a little tired—but you will still be standing.

Don’t let the storm trick you into forgetting who you are.
The sun is still coming.
You just have to make it through the rain.

Baby, this was well and beautifully written! I wouldn’t say I’m standing in a storm but I’m witnessing the aftermath of many storms! I’m grateful that although I went through them, no harm was done to the foundation of my being. The leaves and bad fruit has fell from the tree, but the root became deeply rooted! When the rain stops, I’ll continue to dance under the sun. Still Sing while gazing at the stars. Drink water from the full well of life. I’ll romance the moon as it shines light into darkness. Most of all thank The Creator for the protection, provision and peace through and through.

Whew… okay, poet!!! 😭💛 This was so beautifully said—deeply rooted gave me chills. I love that image of the leaves and bad fruit falling away but the root growing stronger. That’s exactly it. You captured the after so perfectly—still standing, still soft, still grateful. Still singing and sipping from the well like the storm didn’t win. Thank you for sharing this with me… this right here was a whole praise break Fren. 🤎

        Thank you for being here.
